Havelock Road Pathway Opening (southern)

The latest addition to Hastings iWay network will be officially opened on Saturday 19th March 2016.

Get your bike out, the kids bikes out and come and celebrate the completion of the pathway on the southern side of Havelock Road.

Our Deputy Mayor Cynthia Bowers will officially open the pathway at 11am and then there will be a ride around a 8km loop finishing back at St Georges Restaurant. There will be a shorter ride available for the kids.

There will be coffee and food available to purchase from St Georges Restaurant with spot prizes up for grabs. The kids will be entertained on a bouncy castle.

The ride will be well marshalled to ensure the safety of all riders.

Meet at St Georges Restaurant 452 St Georges Rd, at 10.30am. Parking will be available on the event site. Entry from St Georges Restaurant driveway.

The Ride

It will begin on the pathway in front of the vacant land and, once the Deputy Mayor has cut the ribbon, the riders will go south to the Havelock North Bridge.

Then down the slope to the pathway along the Karamu Stream and up to Crosses Road.

From the end of Crosses Road turn left onto St Georges Road and then back to the event site.
