Be Safe Be Seen

HDC BeSafeBeSeen FBpost 2021

With the end of daylight saving and winter not far away, it a good reminder for all cyclists to check their lights on their bikes. Remember to be bright and be seen when out riding (or walking) on the trails or roads.

One of the best ways for people on bikes to improve their safety is to ensure other users can see you easily. Remember to invest in great front (white) and rear (red) lights and bright/reflective clothing so you can be seen from behind and side on - from 200 metres.

Be Safe Be Seen pop-ups will be happening throughout May at the following locations:

  • Tuesday 11 May – Omahu Road – 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
  • Thursday 13 May – Otene Road – 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm (POSTPONED TO WEDNESDAY 2 JUNE 4:00PM-5:30PM)
  • Monday 17 May – Pakowhai Road – 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm
