
Shorter daylight hours mean people walking or on bikes are harder to see on our pathways. If you're out and about, make sure you're safe and seen with lights and reflective clothing.
If on a bike, remember to invest in a good quality front (white) and rear (red) lights and wear bright/reflective clothing so you can be seen from behind and side on - from 200 metres.
The iWay team in association with Hastings District Council will be giving away bike lights and reflective gear at a streetside near you. Be Safe Be Seen pop-ups will be happening throughout June at the following locations and times (subject to weather):

Tuesday 20 June, Southampton Street East (at the intersection with Hastings Street South) - 6:30am-8:30am
Wednesday 21 June, Pakowhai Road (between St Aubyn Street and Fitzroy Ave) - 4:00pm-6:00pm
Monday 26 June, Flaxmere Avenue (at the intersection with Wilson Road) - 6:30am-8:45am
